The images result from Bernhard Edmaier’s latest trip to the Maldives, an insular state in the Indian Ocean which stretches over 800 km from north to south.
These aerial photos were taken from a hydroplane - the only possibility of a swift movement in this area - show well known atolls, coral reefs, lagoons and islands in all possible forms.
