Also this region is a part of the Baa Atoll. This Great Atoll consists of about 70 islands, of which only 10 are inhabited, although there is a lot of vegetation there. The Baa Atoll houses 11,000 people out of the total 330,000 inhabitants of the Maldives. Most of the population lives from tuna fishing or boat building, in addition to operating 5 luxury tourist resorts.
