SWISS GLACIERS

THE OBERE GRINDELWALD GLACIER

Where the ice flows steeply into the valley, crevasses form on its surface. The summer sun has not melted the winter snow patches yet. If they stay unthawed till next winter and new snow covers them, they will freeze and turn into solid ice.
